These Client Summaries are kept current as Shannon monitors changes in laws and regulations at the federal, state, and municipal level.  Shannon advises clients on state licensing requirements and revising practices and procedures to ensure compliance. She conducts reviews of documents for mortgage loans, construction loans, retail installment contracts, payday loans and other documents for mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, financial institutions and consumer finance lenders and other creditors. Shannon is well-versed in usury and high cost loan testing under federal law and in all jurisdictions, assisting clients in developing proprietary testing systems or checklists or implementing “off the shelf” products. Shannon helps clients in evaluating their default and foreclosure practices and identifies leading practices.
